The shaved ice is good. The chairs and the tables, while fitting in with the entire theme of the restaurant, are not very comfortable.
I like their Taiwanese high school style themed decor and their menu. They serve everything from meal, drinks, to desserts.Their snow craved ice is a must try!I took one star off because the servers always seem to forget what we ordered although they were quite friendly.
We had two shaved ice desserts and we really liked the fruit ones. It was more than enough for 6 people. Delicious!
Great Taiwanese food and huge shaved ice!!!
41.15 for two. The desk are small but the food is good.
I have never written a bad review about any restaurant yet, but there's always a first time for everything. I wouldn't even give this place 2 stars if their good wasn't good. The service is horrible and they put hidden gratuity charges on your receipt! First time I ever had to pay gratuity for a party of 3 and the server didn't even say anything about it. If I didn't review the receipt afterwards i never would have known. If anyone comes here to eat, just make sure you look at your bill carefully before you pay.
Best place for shaved snow. Service is okay. Food is cheap and good. Seating is quite limited, so the wait can be rather long. Hot pot is around 13$, but can feed two people easily. Cash only, so bring money.
The service depends on who's working. Sometime we get fantastic service and other times we have to raise our hand for a water refill or check. The place can get busy at times but the times we had little to no service was when there was only 3 other tables occupied.
It's good to have shaved ice in this restaurant.
Oh my, been going to this joint for a while. The food is fairly inline with Taiwanese Cafe Cuisine. It’s in the fountain plaza with 4-5 major anchors I.e. Gen BbQ, 85 degrees, Sake 2 Me, and Creamistry. The parking her is pretty ridiculous. That’s what happens when you have a good center. Lots of restaurants, lots of activities. As for the food, it’s ok as tea Station, the other Taiwanese cafe closed down. Had the popcorn chicken and calamari. Both pretty good, can’t miss items. Also checkout their Shabu dishes for individuals. Can be shared as well. Also big fan of their shaved iced desserts. One dish 5 spoons so I don’t have it often. The reason for the 3 is for the service. It’s very hit or miss. When it’s good, it’s alright. When it’s bad, it’s horrible. Has never been great for the years I have been going here. Much left to be desired.
Great home cooking and the shaved ice are awesome too
The place is not very clean. The prices for the food was quite expensive. There is a policy here where each person has to order something or else there is a charge of 3 dollars per person that didn't order. This would make dessert sharing quite unappealing. There dessert portion is large enough that a single person cannot comfortably finish by themselves. The decor reminds one of an old elementary school in Taiwan. That being said some of the seating are student desk from the same era so it is lower than standard chair and can be a bit cramped.
A decent place for Taiwanese comfort food and especially shaved ice. The theme is that of a public school and they have authentic looking desks and chairs that are fairly uncomfortable if you are bigger than a school age child. The service is ok, and the ambiance is casual and loud when busy.
The spicy beef noodle soup was really good here, but the people didn't seem happy
Love it! We only got the boba and shaved ice here but the prices were fair and the portions were huge!!
It's a nostalgic experience for people that grew up in Taiwan. The restaurant is decorated like an elementary school classroom. They serve classic Taiwanese dishes as well as yummy dessert. The service leaves more to be desired. The pricing is a little high for what it is but I would still eat here on occasion. Cash only.
Haven't really eaten here other than just their bbq stinky tofu. It's addictive! I always have to drop by and get some when I'm in the area
The taste used to be amazing and had me wowed. But for some rrason everything felt watered down. Really was a let down.
Visited a 2nd time now and would raise my rating to a 4 STARS, because the service was very friendly & fast and what I ordered was different. I had sweet potato fries and calamari, which were both REALLY Tasty❣I also had a soup, which like I had the 1st time, was rather boring & plain tasting... 😕
My friend from Taiwan tells me that this is pretty authentic Taiwanese food. Since I was raised on California-Chinese food, this menu offers a huge selection items I'd never heard of. I tried the shredded pork & rice dish which is served in a metal tin. My Taiwanese friend told me that this is the very traditional lunch that kids are sent to school with. The flavor was delicious. I also tried the Stinky Tofu, which wasn't as good as others I've tried. I prefer a crunchier skin to contrast the soft inside of the tofu. I also tried some of the green tea shaved snow, which is some of the best I've tasted. It's my understanding that the original Class 302 in Rowland Heights was the first Southern California restaurant to offer shaved snow. The tables & chairs are right out a Taiwanese elementary school classroom. They are low, and not very comfortable, especially for anyone over 6 foot tall.
Excellent food quality even when ordering to go. Well packed and great portion size for the price.
Serving for shaved ice is good for 3-4 persons
Was brought here by a friend. I loved the classroom table we sat at. Super cute and nostalgic. I also loved the blended mocha with espresso beans. It's hard to find a place that will blend espresso beans into a drink so I was happy my friend showed me. The boba was also very good quality for a great price. The soup was okay, I liked the wontons more than the broth flavor. The fried pork rice WAS super hearty and delicious. Big portions perfect for sharing and for lunch time.
Very good quality and flavorful Taiwanese food. Get the combo spicy miso udon soup with popcorn chicken or the spicy beef noodle soup.
Only had their dessert. Pretty good shaved ice combos. Service was a little slow. Friendly staff. Would recommend trying.
Spicy beef noodle soup taste very good but the bowl content is much less than it used to be.
BBQ stinky tofu and popcorn chicken are the best. Shaved ice is good too, and comes with a big portion.
Awesome! Amazing food, authentic and genius! Fantastic taiwanese dishes!
The shaved snow is so good.
Very good dessert here. The staffs is friendly and nice, overall everything on the menu is decent and price was reasonable.
This one by far is way better then city of industry location, I've eaten both locations in same week, amount of toppings and shaved ice you get here is soo much better.
Love the Thai Ice Tea slushy with boba
Best shaved ice I've ever tried.
Taste is good. Service is good too.
I have been here like 4 times now. This place has a lot of flavors and the prices are low which is nice. But there is an unpleasant smell in there. It is difficult to describe. Like someone microwaved fish, but fish is not on the menu. You will see what I mean.
Cash only for purchases under $10. The milk tea is way too sweet
Best Thai Iced Tea in town!:)
Pretty good I eat a lot and their food is enough for me.
This place is awesome for desserts! That's basically all 5 stars right there. The place is casual but nice. Beware! Cash only. The service is decent but not great. The menus are cheap. Sometimes it can be difficult to find parking in the small parking lot. That's all the bad stuff out of the way, and all that stuff is totally worth it just for their shaved snow. This is one of those places you plan to go to and nothing is going to get in your way. You bring your cash and park across the street if you have to because you want that snow. They have an extensive dessert menu. Many teas and blended fruity drinks, boba, coffee drinks, shaved iced and shaved snow. It's all very good.Even though I've only had dessert here, their menu includes lunch and dinner dishes.
If you're looking for an interesting dessert experience, than this place is for you! Shaved ice is a must and popcorn chicken is also delicious. Note the drinks are really sweet so order half sweet.
This place is great. Their shaved ice/snow amazing. Their food is all around decent. Prices are nice too. Kid loved it.
They really don't want your business $10 minimum credit card purchase and they don't take American Express I'll definitely never go back. Also they don't do self-serve Boba like the other locations and they're just really not welcoming to customers
Pretty good. The size of our party caused the waitress to be anxious and might have gotten some of our orders confused. Food was still great!
Pop corn chicken was good better than I expected
This is my go-to place for Taiwanese food. The portions are large and generally pretty tasty. The bento boxes are a good value.
Their fried pork chop is pretty good and their noodle soup is fantastic. The chairs and tables are actually meant for classrooms in Taiwan, so they are a bit uncomfortable... Especially if you are tall. Kudos to them for going with the theme, but I wish I could relax here while I eat.
I'm Mexican.. Very used to eating Cantonese chinese.. Taiwanese was new to my fiancee and I. I asked tons of questions and i coulsnt get answers I needed... Need more experience but good food
Amazing food! Little gem that usually doesn't get busy. I didn't want to review this place... Just to keep it to myself.
I love this place. Low prices good food the hot pot is especially good go for the Japanese pork bone soup
Terrible service. Decent food. Gross restrooms. No water, I suggest you bring your own. The only good thing is the "snow".
